FarSight: application for remote visualization Original Research Article

FarSight is an application under development at Tech-X, which allows users to run remote data analysis and visualization in a collaborative manner, to share the visualization results and render the visualization objects locally. FarSight addresses the latency and bandwidth problems by transferring compressed visualization objects, rather than transferring remotely generated data, which can be very large. In the paper we present the architecture and status of this application.
