A modified WTC algorithm for the Painlevé test of nonlinear variable-coefficient PDEs Original Research Article

A modified WTC algorithm for the Painlevé test of nonlinear PDEs with variable coefficients is proposed. Compared to the Kruskalʹs simplification algorithm, the modified algorithm further simplifies the computation in the third step of the Painlevé test for variable-coefficient PDEs to some extent. Two examples illustrate the proposed modified algorithm.
