On integrating lines of curvature Original Research Article

The treatment of parameterization-dependent indeterminacies in numerical integrations of lines of curvature on a surface is addressed. It is shown that, at nonumbilic points, such occurrences have simple geometrical interpretations, and may be resolved by a deterministic modification to the vector fields specifying the principal directions.
