Abstract
In this paper, we introduce a kind of blending algebraic surfaces that smoothly join two or more quadratic implicit defined algebraic surfaces with G1 continuity. By virtue of the properties of Gröbner bases, we derive successfully the problem of blending algebraic surfaces to the one of solving a corresponding linear system. The blending surfaces obtained in this paper are of lower degree, less computational complexity and simple in form.
