An Analysis on unofficial settlement in Iran

One of the unsustainability grounds on civil development especially in developing countries is an increasing kind of habitation involving with critical problem so called unofficial settlement, needing exclusive observation adaptation to rearrange current situation and avoid its extension in future. Since the unofficial settlement has been formed and extended on the basis of other causes other than place and time and so will mutually effect on a more extensive environment, which needs policies and measurements not only on local level but also on national level. The current essay is to survey the definitions on unofficial settlement, different kinds of unofficial habitations and also unofficial settlement in Iran and the effective parameters on increasing the unofficial settlement and the most important and key reasons of emersion and extension of such phenomena in Iran, also solutions and the complementary policies to the organization of unofficial settlement in Iran as well as the world, and has come up with a result. Considering the unofficial settlement issue in planning, also cooperation policy with inhabitants in order to organize and improve the unsettled parts of the city, there is hope to provide sustainable civil development.
