Abstract :
A three-dimensional heat transfer model of spray-formed tubes, based on the three-dimensional shape model presented in the first part of this study, has been established. By means of this modeling, evolution of temperature field, cooling and solidification behaviors of a growing tubular deposit have been investigated. In addition, the influences of principal process parameters on the thermal profiles of the deposit have been analyzed and discussed. The mass input and the enthalpy input from the spray of droplets to the preform are found to be the dominant influencing factors. The simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental results.
