Abstract :
Nickel catalysts were prepared by double impregnation employing several organic reagents. The activity of the prepared catalysts was investigated in n-butane hydrogenolysis. The obtained results suggest that n-butane hydrogenolysis depends on the crystallite size of nickel. In the crystallite size range of 1.5–4.5 nm the reaction might proceed mainly through the parallel-consecutive mechanism.
