Abstract
Interaction of CO with N2O on MCo2O4 (MCu, Co, Ni) surfaces was investigated. All the spinels exhibited comparable activity. Nickel is present in the trivalent state, on which the CO + N2O reaction shows a temperature dependent mechanism. Co2+ has no impact on conversion but affects the mechanism of the CON2O interaction. CO adsorption is the key step on all the three catalysts.
