Abstract :
Interaction of CO with N2O on MCo2O4 (MCu, Co, Ni) surfaces was investigated. All the spinels exhibited comparable activity. Nickel is present in the trivalent state, on which the CO + N2O reaction shows a temperature dependent mechanism. Co2+ has no impact on conversion but affects the mechanism of the CON2O interaction. CO adsorption is the key step on all the three catalysts.
