Abstract :
(1)C4H10 → C4H8 + H2(2)C4H8 + H2 → C3H6 + CH4(3a)C3H6 + H2 → C3H8(3b)C3H6 + H2 → C2H4 + CH4(4a)C2H4 + H2 → C2H6(4b)C2H4 + 2H2 → 2CH4Obtained reaction pathways of light compounds formation can be applied to optimize the concept of the dehydrogenation process and explain puzzling phenomena regarding the temperature profile in the fixed bed dehydrogenation process.
