α-Synuclein aggregation into fibrils is associated with the pathogenesis of Parkinsonʹs disease (PD). Li et al. provide strong evidence that rifampicin interacts with α-synuclein and inhibits its fibrillization . Rifampicin could be a promising candidate for therapeutic application for PD.
