Abstract :
Purpose: The purpose of this research was the Comparing the effect of combination of mental and physical practices on balance capability of students with vision disorders. Method: Subjects of this semi-experimental research were of 30 students with the average age (mental 9 physical practice group 8/5 and mental- physical practice group 9/9) years with sharpness of vision maximum 0/05 to 0/5 Diopter in superior eye who they have been divided randomly in 3 groups of 10 persons mental practice, physical practice and combination practice without control group considering sharpness of vision of homogeneous. The period of practices for each group included 8 weeks of 2 sessions, 45 to 60 minutes for each session the capability of static and dynamic balance was measured by Romberg tests and balance board. The analysis of data was done by SPSS software, version 8 in 2 level of descriptive and perceptional statistics (Analysis the Two-way variance and in case of the significant of tests, LSD pursuit test was made) (the level of significance %95 and rate ?? %5). Findings: Results showed that it didnʹt exist any significant difference in static balance capability but it existed in dynamic balance between all types of practices ?? %5. Discussion and conclusion: Regarding the findings of research, lack of significance of static balance capability between types of practices indicates corrective and compensatory mechanism through best use of other senses on the other hand in dynamic balance capability differences were seen between types of practices so that the mental- physical practices cause children with low vision to make more progress. This indicates, vision affect balance doing in these children. According to the findings, mental practices as a supplement could make this kind of capability make progress in physical practices.
