Some factors affecting English learning at tertiary level

The research article aims at studying some factors affecting in relation to the learning of English as a second language at the tertiary level. Besides, the project analyses the most important socio-psychological factors such as motivation, attitude, and language anxiety. For this study the researchers have taken four hundred and eight (138 female and 270 male) first year engineering and technology students from five engineering colleges in and around Chennai, India. Further, the researchers discuss the results and findings with a look at the possible implications and suggestions for further research.
