Abstract :
An approach to the kinematic method of skew-axes gear synthesis is presented in the work. The object of the investigation is an illustration of the pitch point mathematical model for synthesis of the spatial gear pair helical flanks. This mathematical model has been applied in the designing of different kinds of skew-axes gear pairs. Algorithms and CAD systems for Spiroid and Helicon (Spiroid and Helicon are the registered trademarks of Illinois Tool Works, Chicago, IL) gear pairs are elaborated on the basis of the model.
