Optimization of the structure of an H-beam with either a flat or a corrugated web: Part 3. Development and research on H-beams with wholly corrugated webs

In this paper, first the structure parameters of H-beam with a flat web, namely the ordinary H-beam, have been optimized. On the basis of the research, the optimization of the corrugation parameters of the web of the wholly corrugated webs (WCW) H-beam has been achieved. The optimized corrugation parameters of the web for an H-beam of some models in the standards are given. It is of interest to popularize the WCW H-beam in steel construction building.
