Determination of the frictional properties of coated steel sheets

A test method for the determination of the frictional properties of silicon steel sheet with a surface coating are discussed. The frictional properties of this sheet are represented by a coefficient of the friction–strain curve. The frictional properties of the coatings are described by a curve representing the difference between the coefficient of friction of the uncoated sheet and that of the coated sheet versus the strain of the sheet.
