An experiment study on the Castex process for AS wire

Systemic experiments have been done with the Castex machine for different process parameters. This paper mainly studied the affect on the process of casting temperature, preheat temperature of steel wire, rotating speed of the wheel, flow of cooling water, extrusion speed of the steel wire, extrusion ratio and the gap between the surface of wheel and that of the mould. Among all of these parameters the casting temperature has the most effect.
