Hydroforming

The technology of hydroforming is used today in the mass production of lightweight components for the automotive industry. The economy of the manufacturing process is determined by suitable process design but mainly by the forming equipment utilised. This presentation shows some examples of today’s process development possibilities and describes the state of the art of the available press technology and the performance of series production hydroforming lines, processing longitudinally welded aluminium tubes.
