Abstract :
A modified temperature-phase transformation-stress/strain field coupled 3D non-linear mathematical model has been used in the computer simulation of the heat-treatment processes of a large-scale bearing roller in order to optimize these processes. The key considerations in mathematical model are described first. The simulation of complicated technologies such as pre-heating, tempering, quenching in oil and water, self-tempering, etc., is then analyzed in detail.
