Abstract
Alloying of high-chromium steels by nitrogen is very advantageous for increasing of their strength, hot and corrosion resistance, but it requires an accurate control for hot forming regimes due to strong structural heredity. Processes of hardening and softening of chromium steel (Fe–11%Cr–0.11%N) and chromium–molybdenum one (Fe–11%Cr–1%Mo–0.11%N) have been studied by the hot pressing test, and by hardness test and structural investigations in the quenched state. Hot deformation diagrams for a temperature range of 800–1200 °C and a cooling rate range of 10−2–101 s−1 have been created.
