Sintering criterion in metal working processes

In this paper a simple sintering criterion in metal working processes is presented. The criterion is based on the assumption that by comparison of the plastic work of composites in metal working processes with critical values of the work needed for good junction of the particles, the proper conditions of these processes to attain a good sintering can be evaluated. The conditions of these processes contain not only the temperature, strain rate and reduction in the cross-section but also the shapes and sizes of tools and boundary conditions.
