Abstract :
The effects of cathodic polarisation on the properties of carbon steel, high-strength and extra-high-strength low-alloyed steels were determined by slow strain rate testing. The degree of hydrogen embrittlement of any of tested steels was shown to depend on the content of diffusible hydrogen.
