Quasi-mode shape based dynamic finite element model updating method

A quasi-mode shape (QMS) based dynamic finite element model updating method is developed. The proposed method is applied to locate main model errors. To assess this method, a success ratio for error localization is also defined. Numerical example for printed circuit board (PCB) showed that the new method is much improved compared with force-balance-method (FBM).
