Abstract :
In this paper, Ni/SiC functionally gradient material is prepared by the method of electrodeposition. SEM and XRD tests indicate that the content of the SiC powder increases gradually and the crystal grain size of the deposit decreases from 29.30 to 21.24 nm in the direction of the deposit growth. Furthermore, the toughness, hardness and wear resistance of the gradient deposit are all tested.
