Abstract
The pressure distribution on a die surface is non-uniform during the upsetting process. A special experimental device was designed to measure the pressure distribution and experiments with different parameters were conducted. The upsetting process was also simulated by DEFORM and a comparison made of the experimental and theoretical results.
