Abstract :
The present work shows an energetic analysis of plate drawing processes. To accomplish this study, upper-bound techniques under plane strain and partial friction conditions have been applied. The deformation zone has been modelled by means of an unique triangular rigid zone. The specific overall energy has been calculated for a theoretical range of involved parameter values. The practical use range of those parameters has been established using obtained results. Components of the energy just as homogeneous deformation one, redundant one or required in overcoming the external friction one have been calculated as well and its dependence on different parameters have been analysed.
