Abstract :
A new method of static softening kinetics determination is described. The method consists of the relaxation stress analysing after various deformations and it is based on the fact that structural processes, which eliminate the effect of strain hardening, are reflected by changes in shape of the relaxation curve. The new method is more precise than the microstructure observation or the previous relaxation method. The elaborated static softening kinetics can be applied in a model describing behaviour of the materials during large deformation, in a wide range of deformation conditions. This model has a simple mathematical form, which facilitated the development of a computer programme for the analysis of forming processes.
