On the possibility of obtaining silicon carbide using the glow-discharge electron gun

We report a new possibility of obtaining silicon carbide (SiC) using the glow-discharge electron gun. The melting installation, the powder pellet preparation procedures as well as the experimental results together with the crystallographic analysis for the raw material and the obtained silicon carbide are presented.
