Influence of an appropriate balance of the alloying elements on microstructure and on mechanical properties of nodular cast iron

In this present investigation, we try to study the influence of the chemical composition of different alloying elements on microstructure and on mechanical properties of a nodular graphite cast iron. The dimensions of each specimens in form of stair are 200 mm × 100 mm × 50 mm. Cooling rate has been considered. In this analysis, the different microstructures of the stairs have been considered. Fracture toughness, impact toughness, yield and tensile strength are studied.
