Abstract
A tree fractal antenna, for UWB applications with micro-strip feed is presented. By adopting the proposed patch, much wider impedance band width is achieved and by increasing the fractal iteration new resonances are seen. The antenna volume is only about 25*25*1 mmP3P, which covers the frequency band from 2.8 GHz to 15 GHz for VSWR < 2. In this letter by increasing fractal iteration, the control of the band width and resonances are presented and discussed. The antenna performance was simulated by high frequency structure simulator (HFSS), and the fabricated antenna properties were measured by using Agilent 8722ES network analyzer. The both simulated and measured results are presented and compared with each other to guaranties antenna’s satisfactory performance.
