Abstract :
This paper presents the investigation done on high volume utilization of coal bottom ash (CBA) as fine aggregate and partially replacing fly ash with cement in concrete production. Tests conducted include analysis of the physical and chemical properties of CBA aggregates, workability of the concrete, compressive strength and density. The workability was found to decrease as large volume of CBA is utilized, the compressive strength increases with an increase in the curing duration. The density decreased with an increase in percentage replacement.
