Abstract
The present study seeks for answering this question: What is the relationship of globalization with the urban culture in the city of Tehran? Therefore, first of all, we assess the globalization and gradually faded cultural boundaries and presenting definitions by different thinkers with respect to different aspects of globalization. Then, the concept of culture and its various dimensions have been evaluated from the viewpoints of different scientists and theorists, and different models have been presented for cultural analysis. Taking widespread issue of culture and its elements in the model of research into account, only the essential assumptions of culture have been considered and effect of fading of cultural boundaries has been considered. For this purpose, taking the theoretical basics of the research into account, two components of increasing information flow rate and facilitating communication and developing the scope of the social functions for the cultural boundaries and four components of human intrinsic nature, human activity nature, human relations nature and relationship with the nature and all related indices have been explained. Eight hypotheses were discussed about the relationship of two independent variables with four dependent variables. The statistical society for the research have been selected from students of the faculty of management and economics of Tehran Science and Research University and after gathering and analyzing the data, the results of the research indicated approving five hypotheses and rejecting three hypotheses.
