Abstract :
This paper deals with the numerical simulation of the deep drawing of a metastable austenitic stainless steel of AISI 304 type. A two-phase model of elastoviscoplastic type has been developed by to take into account the martensitic transformation induced by plastic deformation during cold forming that can exhibit this stainless steel. This two-phase model is used to describe the behavior of the steel during the numerical simulation of the deep drawing of a cylinder cup using a commercial finite element code. The numerical results of the simulations are compared with experimental results of the same deep drawing test in order to validate the model.
