The limits of gamma-ray spectroscopy with multi-detector arrays Original Research Article

A selection of the physics that has been obtained recently from the latest generation of large multi-detector gamma-ray spectrometers is discussed. The examples chosen are taken from the study of the atomic nucleus at the extremes of angular momentum, deformation and isospin.
