We describe baryon stopping without free parameters via a mechanism in which net baryon number is shifted to mid-rapidities without valence quarks. We explain by the same mechanism the observed enhancement of strange baryons and antibaryons. The description of the Ω yield requires the introduction of final state interaction with a very small cross-section, of the order of 0.1 mb.
