Abstract :
I discuss the derivation of the BFKL equation and the properties of the BFKL kernel in the leading and next-to leading order (NLO), problems encountered in the NLO and proposed solutions of them, the main assumption made in the derivation of the equation and the check of the self-consistency of the equation.
