Thermal properties of polypropylene/wax blends

Some thermal properties of isotactic polypropylene/hard Fischer–Topsch wax blends were investigated in this paper. Mutual miscibility of components in the solid and melt states is discussed. It was found that, at low wax concentrations, polypropylene and hard paraffin wax are homogeneous on a macroscopic level. TGA results confirmed the lower thermal stability of blends containing larger concentrations of wax.
