Abstract :
This is a review of the studies of the thermal decomposition of silver oxalate from 1950s through the 1990s. The role of various factors, which have influence on the thermal decomposition rate, is discussed. A detailed mechanism of the reaction is proposed, unsolved problems are summarised.
