Abstract :
The cross section for p–11Li elastic scattering at 800 Mev/u is evaluated with the mean-field optical model KMT and few-body MST framework, making use of a given projectile structure model and nucleon–nucleon (NN) transition amplitudes. We show that the calculated elastic scattering observables may not be very sensitive to details on the structure input but it is important to describe the scattering within a few-body approach.
