Abstract :
A microscopic three-cluster model is used to investigate the 12C, 24Mg and 48Cr nuclei, described by α+α+α, 16O+α+α and 40Ca+α+α configurations, respectively. For each system, a fairly good agreement with experiment is obtained. We essentially focus on the 48Cr nucleus for which a band structure is suggested. In addition to the well-known ground-state band, we predict the existence of additional bands.
