Abstract :
The manuscript reviews some recent developments in describing weak interaction processes in stars. This includes β decays and electron captures on nuclei during late stage evolution of massive stars, neutrino-nucleus processes, which might occur during the infall and shock revival phase, and neutrino opacities in dense matter. Besides β-decays neutrino-nucleus reactions might also play interesting roles during the r-process nucleosynthesis network, where very recently attention has been drawn to neutrino-induced fission reactions.
