Abstract :
To probe polarized s-quark and gluon densities in the proton, we propose a semi-inclusive Λc+ production in charged current deep inelastic scattering; View the MathML source+ + p → View the MathML source + Λc+ + X, which could be observed clearly at a future high energy ep collider. We focus on the transverse momentum distribution of the spin correlation asymmetry between the initial proton and the final Λc+. Numerical calculations show that this process is quite effective for testing not only the model of polarized s-quark and gluon densities but also the model of polarized fragmentation functions of the c-quark decaying into Λc+.
