Abstract :
Densities, speeds of sound and refractive indices at atmospheric pressure and at a temperature range of 283.15–313.15 K, and isothermal vapour liquid equilibrium at 298.15 K for the binary mixtures of n-hexane or n-heptane with 1-chloropropane have been determined. Excess volumes, excess isentropic compressibilities, refractive index deviations and excess Gibbs functions were calculated from the experimental data. All these properties provide an insight into the nature of interactions operating on the present systems.
