Abstract :
We have summarized experimental data on the limited solubility of mercury in gold and on the composition of intermetallic phases in the Au–Hg binary system. Standard thermodynamic functions of Au1−xHgx (0 ≤ xHg ≤ 0.2) solid solution have been calculated. The obtained data can be used in different software packages for developing physicochemical models in natural and technological processes with participation of gold and mercury.
