Abstract :
Heavy ion fusion barrier parameters are calculated by making use of configuration of classical nucleon positions of the colliding nuclei. Calculated fusion cross sections and barrier distributions of 154Sm + 16O, 12C + 232Th, and 86Kr + 208Pb reactions agree well with the experiments.
