Abstract
The competition between fusion-fission and quasi-fission in the reactions48Ca+208Pb and48Ca+244Pu(E* = 40MeV) is investigated using the pre-scission neutron multiciplicity distributions (PSNMD) obtained with a new analysis protocol.
