Physics with SPIRAL and SPIRAL 2 status of the EURISOL project Original Research Article

Examples of recent results obtained with SPIRAL beams on the properties of nuclei in the vicinity of drip-lines and/or magic numbers are presented. The future plans of the GANIL/SPIRAL facility related to the SPIRAL 2 project are described. The curent status of EURISOL, the european ultimate ISOL-based radioactive beam facility, is shortly presented.
