Abstract
The Tamura–Udagawa–Lenske (TUL) formulation of the multistep direct reaction (MSDR) approach to the preequilibrium processes is reviewed. It takes into account consistently the coherent and the statistical aspects of such processes. We present calculations of neutron-induced charge exchange reactions at incident energies of 30–100 MeV, an energy region of great interest in applications to accelerator-driven systems.
