Abstract
In recent experiments at the LISE3 facility of GANIL and the FRS facility of GSI, we studied the decay of 45Fe, according to theoretical predictions one of the most promising cases for 2p radioactivity. Our results show for the first time clear evidence of this new radioactivity. In another experiment at GANIL, 2p emission was observed from excited states in 17Ne. Complete kinematics measurements were performed by means of the SPEG facility and the MUST detector array, and the angle between the two protons has been measured evidencing a 2He emission pattern. Both results will be presented and future studies are discussed.
