Abstract :
Data for hadron charge exchange spectra on nuclei at kinematics suited to the conditions for incoherent, quasifree scattering from nucleons bound within those nuclei are analyzed in the y-scaling format found to unify many electron and some hadron scattering spectra into common responses. A range of beam species and energies are used, to determine the limits of the method. Charge exchange scaling responses are found to be smaller than transverse electron scattering responses, whereas hadron scattering responses exceed the relevant longitudinal (charge) electron scattering responses.
