Global alpha-nucleus optical potential Original Research Article

A simple prescription for calculation of α-nucleus optical model potential for A∼12–209 and E∼Coulomb barrier to about 140 MeV has been proposed. The global potentials from the present work have been tested in many reactions with α in entrance and exit channels. The calculations are consistent with a large body of data.
